There's a lot of things I like about Spiderman but that does not explain why similar films are nowhere near as popular. Shangchi and Fantastic Four: First Steps were both movies I enjoyed which had morally good villains, good world building and a focus on friendship but were not the overwhelming success of Spiderman.
